IMPACT FOSTERING INDEPENDENCE ON SECURITY INMATES IN PRISON KLAS IIA SALEMBA JAKARTA
Development of independence for the prisoner in practice is still filling free time alone, not productive and not economic oriented. The resulting output is generally conventional so that less market interest, not to mention the difficulty of problems seeking interested parties to invest in marketing let alone participate. In addition to the charger is only free time alone, independence building activities in correctional institutions is also largely determined by the budget guidance provided by the independence of the country through the national budget and human resource constraints prison officers both in quantity and quality. This condition is further complicated by the lack of interest in prisoners to follow the independence coaching program organized by the correctional institution. Whereas independence building activities for the inmates have a positive relationship to security in the prison.
In this study three research questions to be answered is how the implementation of the development of independence in prisons Klas IIA Salemba Jakarta, what the impact of coaching independence for security in prisons Klas IIA Salemba Jakarta and the factors that influence the development of independence in the implementation of Class IIA Salemba prison in Jakarta. The method used is a qualitative method with interviews using interview guidelines. Informants of the study was 3 officers and inmates of the 6 people, with research sites in Lapas Klas IIA Salemba Jakarta.
Based on the research results found that the independence building activities in prisons Klas IIA Salemba Jakarta walked with the existing limitations, namely the condition of the unfinished buildings and minimal infrastructure and human resources personnel who have not optimized the implementation of pembinana independence. The study also found there is an inseparable relationship between the development of independence for security in prisons Klas IIA Salemba Jakarta, building self-reliance that is well managed and able to absorb labor inmates can have a positive impact on the life in prison so that security can be created. Independence in the implementation guidance in prisons Salemba Jakarta Klas IIA are supporting and inhibiting factors. Supporting factor is the availability of abundant labor, inexpensive and safe investment for a third party, while the block factor is the quality of human resources officers and inmates are minimal and budget constraints and bureaucratic structures associated with the distribution of financial and budgetary allocations.
